Counting change

July 14th, 2011 at 01:45 pm

One of my goals this month is to get my Moving Out fund to £500. I need to add £20.85 to do this. Well, I haven't managed to yet, I did however buy season 8 of Smallville (£13.50 with my discount, plus hubby is paying for half of it) Not a necessity, obviously.

I almost took my change to the bank today. I only have two bags though so I'd feel a bit silly going in with only two pounds worth. Hmm. I do also have the money that MIL gave me for buying her wine (£4) That would be £6, which isn't a lot, but it's something. I don't have a problem transferring small amounts online, it's just going into the bank I feel like I should have more to put in. Either way I'm going to try my best to reach £500 before the 29th.

You can do it! I'm sure you'll find some more here and there as the month goes on. I might have to do another no-spend month in August in order to have enough for my vacation which is tentitvely scheduled for in September. I hope I can have enough saved up to do everything I want.

I like the idea of another no-spend month, although I have a few birthdays, and possibly a night out, so I don't think i could join you this time if you decide to do it. I can cheer you on though!

I'll do my best to find some money here and there that I can add to my moving out fund.

Ooh, so close. Know anyone who might need a small chore done, such as a night of babysitting, a bit of housework, etc.? That could put you over the top!
