My dog ran away

but he came back within half an hour. Apparently he likes nothing better than running about the street, occasionally barking at kids. He would never bite them.

    My dog is a madman. He barks like crazy but would helo a burglar out with the furniture!Smile

    My dog ran away and my neighbors all said "Reax, he will be back w/in 45 minutes."
    They were right ...BUT... HOW do I let him know that that is not acceptible!?!
    He is 7 Y/O.
    This is NOT his usuall behavior.
    What does one do?
