Considering the $20 challenge, or something similar

May 10th, 2006 at 07:20 pm

I really am procrastinating when I should be working.

I am considering doing the $20 challenge, or something similar. Actually I can't do the actual $20 challenge because

1. my currency's pounds
2. I haven't got £20 to start a challenge with

Right now I only have £1, really pathetic but I suppose I could try and turn that into more and then use it towards something. When I get money I'll add the money that I saved last week, plus I need to check my receipts too. The challenge just seems like such a good idea.

Go ahead and start with whatever you have. I can't remember who, but someone started with nothing.

I need to get back on track and start my challenge again. I gave up keeping track when Dh needed the money I'd saved for something...can't even remember what it was.

I started with ~$6....I'm up to $932 as of 050430!...my goal is $4,000 by year's end (which, in theory, would cover the purchase of my car, but, in reality, only the money I had until 040530 will go towards the car, with the rest going towards cc debt, as the loan for the car has a waaaaaaayy lower interest than the cards!)

There's two of us! I have $6. That's just a little more than a pound, isn't it? I think I'm going to wait till next month.

I started with $0 balance this year and had built up to $70 this month.

Of course I did spend $ 6.81 for birthday supplies, and just today spent $15 towards signing my 14 year old up for summer swimming lessons, which he needs worse than anything in my opinion. Also spent $4.25 for an evening meal at a tiny local ice cream/restarunt close to home after riding my bike back from the local YMCA. So at present my balance is $46.50 but the money spent was much worth it to me.

I agree with everyone else: start with what ever you have and build on it from there. Best wishes.
