"Are you handing in your notice?"

I went into work today to ask my manager for a favour. This is unusual for me; I never go to see my manager on a day off. My manager thought I was there to hand in my notice. She looked worried.

    She suggested a woman I could ask to cover my shift for the day that I want, so I guess it did.

    If you ever go into your boss' office and close the door behind you, they get a real worried look on their face, too.
