It helps to be organised

For the past week or so my mum has been complaining that everything she eats tastes sweet.She's only 43. I think she needs to change her diet. Last night she only ate veg from her dinner because she didn't like the taste of anything else. Anyway today she decided to make a curry sauce with chicken. As it turns out we didn't have everything in the house that we needed for the sauce. We're going shopping on Monday and we're going to buy in extra tins of chopped tomatoes etc so we can make a proper curry sauce. My mum is happy with the result considering we didn't have all of the ingredients. I need to be more organised in the future. If I was then things like this wouldn't happen.

    I don't want to be alarmist, but you may consider taking your mother to a doctor or asking her to see one. A sweet taste in the mouth is one sign of ketosis (is she on the Atkins diet by any chance or another low-carb diet?) It may also be a sign of mercury poisoning or perhaps may be linked to diabetes in some way. Regardless, a change like that should be looked into to rule out something serious. ~Monica
