I'm off today so I finally get to update here. I've been too tired at night to do it.
I'm slowly adjusting to 4.30am rises, although I'm in bed by nine most nights. I've not even been watching once upon a time on Netflix, I've been too tired.
Last night Dh and I sorted out our holiday/vacation requests. He's handing them in today. It's mostly just for J's birthday and Dh's.
I've abandoned swagbucks, I just don't have time. I might try on my days off though.
I found a five pound note in my jeans pocket. I'll be counting that as a snowflake.
I've been shopping after every shift so far. I haven't totaled up the damage yet.
I need to come up with another easy meal plan. We had three days of chicken this week after I cooked one in the slow cooker.
I think that's all. I'm away to see what you all have been up to.
Work/Life update etc

After our conversation a while ago I joined swag bucks but quickly abandoned it because I just don't have the time or energy, it is time consuming

Keep Meal Plan as simple as possible. If you have kept last year's list of meals, it's a great resource. It's seasonal food mostly loss leaders , rice based casserole, potato stew with minced beef as the protein. Add whatever vegetable everyone likes and a green salad or coleslaw. We do fruit
Over the years, bit-by-bit I've managed to get DH & two DSs to eat ethnic foods like Curry, Spanish Rice, Pilaf, Paella, Cajun rice & beans because it's so easy to cook rice salt shakers. 4 bean salad and marinated coleslaw benefit from being in the fridge for 3 days in glass jar with screw on lid.
It seemed to come down to giving a food a pleasant or fun name and sticking to a formula of soup or salad, plus protein, carb, 2 veggies, fruit, something for dessert and snack that kiddies can eat by themselves. Going to the store on your way home from work is more tiring and way too expensive.
sorry...too wordy

My easy meals are fried rice, freezer veggies stirfried with garlic, ginger, and noodles, eggs on toast, burritos, and potato pancakes as a comfort food. All of these can also be frozen!
