Almost payday

August 18th, 2016 at 08:44 am

I made a mistake last month which I'm paying for this month. I had to withdraw money from savings to help our current financial situation. Sigh.

I definitely want us to get away next year, although now hubby is wanting to visit his friend. We've all never been there, so it'll be good to go. I think I'm in a rut.

I've started to think about Christmas. SG mentioned a couple of things so I'll search online to find the best price. Adding to my asda savings card hasn't really worked, although there is still time. I'll probably get a lot of there books/games from the nearly new shop in town. I also might book an official Santa visit for the kids with breakfast, we'll see. Working Saturdays doesn't help since most things are on a Saturday. Again, it's a work in progress.

Pre-ordered a book for hubby's birthday from the kids, and I'm going to treat myself to one too. The money won't come out until my September pay.

August has hit us hard too. Lots of high costly bills means everything else has to get paid out of our spending allowance (like my chiropractor visits). I hear you. It's the 18th so we're over halfway at least Smile.

I hear you!! Loud and clear!! And yesterday I signed up my oldest for three online classes at the local community college. She's out of state working, but that has only been about 3-4 days a week and she has time on the evenings and weekends. Wasn't planning on that expense, but its an investment in her long-term future.

Breakfast with Santa was always something fun we did. And definitely have a line for travel. Despite our situation, I'm still hoping for something next Spring (using miles and any other pennies I can find).

It's so good to get away sometimes. it really clears the head and lifts the spirits.

Although you didn't want to take money out of savings...you did have savings so that is a good thing! I'm sure you will figure out how to make things work better.

I do think getting away, as my dad used to say, "getting the stink blown off" would be good for you.

Smart of you to plan for Christmas now.
